First of all, we are totally safe.
According to Monday's news: "Philippines President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared a state of emergency for parts of the southern island of Mindanao on Tuesday, after a political massacre there left at least 46 people dead."
Although this is a tragic event, it has not interfered with our trip or safety. This occurred over 1,000 mi. to the south of Manila in the region of Mindanao. According to the map here, the violence was in an entirely separate island far to the south of us.
Please continue to pray for the Lord's blessings on this trip.
