Milestones
Our final visit was to the neighborhood of Bulacan. Bulacan is a place that the local government built to house persons whose shanties were torn down near the railroad tracks in Tondo. Although the people were relocated to a new far away place, the HCF church has supported and adopted the people as part of their family. The church is also making sure that the children are educated so they will have a head start in life despite the circumstances. The church in Bulacan was celebrating its one year anniversary when we showed up. Like this place, we will always have hope and help in times of need as long as the Lord has his people in the world. There is always hope.

Dead Man Walking...
On Saturday afternoon we went to the Manila City Cemetery. In the cemetery there is a huge population of people that live right there on and in the graves and the tombs. Monty and Lorenda were even able to pray for a woman that they had visited on their previous trip. The cemetery is surrounded by a 20 foot concrete wall. Of course there is a main entrance but there are also steep staircases that scale the wall that the unofficial cemetery residents use. On the other side of the thick walls near one of the staircase entrances there is a very poor neighborhood that has a vibrant, colorful and friendly neighbors. We played music for them at the local church which was just holding it's second meeting.
Neighborhood church

On Saturday morning we went to another neighborhood church. This place was very small but everyone was happy to crowd in and listen to us as we played music (they had an energetic band that played too!) and gave encouraging words. The church was very welcoming and even took time to make a sign with everyone's name on it. As always we try to build personal relationships - it's even easier to do when they cook an awesomely delicious meal!

Concert!!!!!!!
On Friday night we were part of a concert in the Ortigas (business) District. It was on the 29th floor of an office building.
In these pictures: Raymon is helping DJ write out some notes, the local church band is playing, Grayson is talking to Lorenda about the set they will be playing, Andrew being cool, the last photo is apparently Lorenda practicing for the opera!

Lifechurch went shopping
In March Lifechurch raised money to help purchase church property in Nueva Ecija. Today we drove three hours to see the land, work out some rough plans and dedicate the property to the Lord.

Nueva Ecija
Today we traveled north to the countryside to look at property where a new church will be built. There was also an outdoor church service.
